After performed frequency filtering on seismic data via BPFs, seismic data is smoothed, hence vertical resolution is affected due to loss of some of its original wider frequency band.
Thus, seismic deconvolution was applied to increase the vertical resolution of data by compressing the source wavelet (to zero spike if possible), or known as spiking deconvolution. It is also useful to eliminate multiples. To enhance the vertical resolution of the land seismic data, spiking deconvolution was applied on this data set.
