The seismic data are highly corrupted with noise or unwanted energy such as random noise and coherent noise arising from different kinds of sources.

In this practice, we will improve the signal-to-noise ration (SNR) by attenuating some of the noise that contaminated the seismic data by using linear filtering at different frequency range.
